Catholic Young Adults Conference  The annual Catholic Young Adults Conference takes place in All Hallows College, Gracepark Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, the weekend of Saturday 1stand Sunday 2ndSeptember 2018.  While the conference aims to guide and equip young Catholics to become the people they are called to be, the weekend itself will be packed full of interesting events including talks, liturgies, adoration, confessions and a social evening.   The cost of full residential accommodation including all meals is €95, while non-residential cost is €50.  A single day rate is also available for those whose commitments will not allow them attend the entire conference.  There are a limited number of rooms available so attendees are advised to book early.  Please visit our website for further details including booking information: www.legionofmary-deusetpatria.com  The conference is open to all young Catholics between 18 and 40 years (strictly)

Bray Cualann Historical Society Heritage Week Events

Brian White will lead a walking tour ‘Victorian Bray’ at 7 p.m. on Wednesday August 22nd. Meet at Sidmonton Square, Bray, Co. Wicklow. All welcome – free. This tour will be repeated at 3 p.m. on Saturday August 25th. Please dress appropriately for the day’s prevailing weather conditions.

WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES  2018

The two World Meeting of Families 2018 events at which Pope Francis has confirmed attendance are the Festival of Families 25th August and the Final Mass on Sunday the 26th of August.

Both of these events are free but every adult and child in attendance will need a ticket to access the venues.   Places are subject to availability.

Tickets to Croke Park and Phoenix Park will be FREE however they are currently only available to people who register for World Meeting of Families Pastoral Congress on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of August.

Tickets to the pastoral congress in the RDS will cost €33 per day/3 day ticket is €68.   Under 18s are free.   All events will be ticketed, even those that are free.   People can now register for tickets for the pastoral congress in the RDS – all those registered for tickets will also be guaranteed tickets for the festival of families in Croke Park and the final Mass in The Phoenix Park

A Free of charge Beginners Computer Classes will take place in Ballywaltrim Library, Boghall Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow, on Tuesday May 1st, Wednesday May 2nd, Thursday May 3rd, Tuesday May 8th, and Thursday May 10th. There are two sessions to choose from – Morning’s or Afternoons. Church Cleaner’s/Sweeper’s

Would you have two hours to spare on Monday Afternoons ?? Our Cleaning team are in dire need of a couple of extra people to help SWEEP the Church every week so as: firstly, to ensure the floors are always kept clean and free from dust, and secondly when its Floor Polishing Week it won’t be the huge job it has now become for our regular Cleaning Ladies who have been doing this work tirelessly for years. Age Action are organising beginner computer classes for over 55’s in the Bray area.

The classes are for older people who have little or no computer experience (or for the absolutely terrified!). The aim of the Getting Started programme is to introduce people to the basics of computers, internet and email. Classes are taught by trained volunteer tutors on a one to one basis with small groups of learners in a relaxed, non-formal setting.

 

We train older people on ipads, tablets and laptops.
